Our History

Seven Decades of Innovation

1952

Dick Carney launches Peerless from his basement, creating window awnings and storm windows that began a legacy.

Peerless HQ in the 1960s

Early 1960s

We begin planting our roots with the opening of our Fort Scott, Kansas headquarters.

New HQ in 1964

1964

The original headquarters burns down on July 21, 1964. But it didn’t slow us down. It ignited our innovative spirit to keep going.

Peerless expanding operations through the 1970s

1977

Peerless expands beyond storm-related products and produces its first commercial project for a military base in Alaska.

The first C-rated commercial group of windows, the original 4000 Series.
