How does Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity help us achieve our Lean Manufacturing Goals? Peerless has many goals towards moving toward being a World Class Lean Company, to do that, we have to have strict focus.

What is Lean Manufacturing?

Lean manufacturing is a way to eliminate waste in the manufacturing system. For Peerless, lean manufacturing goes beyond the plant floor, we have a Continous Improvement Team that is dedicated to reduce waste and improve customer experience all throughout the company. In order to continue reaching our goals while becoming a leaner company, we stay highly focused on SQSP or Safety, Quality, Service, and Productivity. We track key performance indicators or KPI's daily for our top priorities at Peerless.

Every morning team members walk through the plant starting at the end of the process, shipping, through the rest of the plant into the front office. Examining what we could have done better from the previous day/week keeps us moving in a forward direction and allows us to fix any problems that arise quickly. Safety, Quality, Service, & Productivity applies to more than just what happens at Peerless; it influences every product design, vendors we choose to work with, strategy sessions on how to promote the best product for our customers, and even our partnerships with customers. Below you can see our Peerless DNA; every decision made within Peerless goes back to the question, "Does this help meet the needs/goals outlined in our DNA?"

Safety for our employees: A big step we have taken recently is requiring high visibility for everyone within our plant.

Safety for our Customers: We implemented a new pallet wrap for secure shipping and movement on the job site. 

Quality: We strive to provide the highest quality product easy to install for our customers. The Peerless DIRS is a new system that uses less sealant that can be factory assembled and easily installed on the job site.  

Service: Currently, for our top customers, we provide free promotion in the form of their logo on stickers that go on every window. 

Productivity: To make our shipping process even better, we have started investing in Conestoga trailers for more effortless loading and unloading of trucks.
