We created a window specifically geared toward low-rise wood structures while keeping the energy efficiency of our architectural windows. Our G800 series holds a CW or commercial rating according to the Fenestration and Glazing Alliance (FGIA). Commercial windows are commonly used in low and mid-rise buildings where larger sizes, higher wind loading requirements, limits on deflection, and heavy use are expected. Our commercial line goes above and beyond the typical CW window being life-cycles tested which tests the durability of our product. Life-cycles testing models the normal wear that can be expected due to the typical number of basic operating cycles and locking hardware opening/closing cycles experienced during the life of a typical product. Air leakage and water penetrations tests are conducted both before and after life-cycling to evaluate any performance changes. There must be no damage to hardware and other components that would render the window inoperable. Life-cycle testing ensures that a window will last for many years.
