Peerless Low E powder is a Low Solar Absorbing powder finish that meets AAMA 2604. The technology integrated within this powder formula aids in reducing the heat island effect within cities, which is when a city is significantly warmer than the surrounding areas. Low E powder coatings contain a reflective pigment that deflects the infrared light, and thus the sun's heat, from any substrate that it coats. As a result, the substrate's surface and interior spaces that it protects are cooler than if painted with a standard coating. Through testing, we have seen this type of technology gain us some u-value points for energy efficiency.
