We always think about safety first which is why we chose to pursue the route to limit all of our windows to a 4" opening with a releasable limit for egress. In the event of a storm we understand power an go out, generators can run out of fuel, or plumbing can burst. In any of those instances having only fixed windows could keep you from preserving human life. Emergency egress is necessary and something we think everyone should consider when building. This system allows for you to meet fair housing codes, emergency egress on any operable window, clean the outside of the window from the interior, and mount the limit at the head for increased fall protection. * 4" releasable limit only available on inswing product.
