Peerless + Adler Windows has never been afraid of custom projects nor helping architects make their vision come to life.

Custom 12" fins proved to be a challenge that our teams were up to accomplish, fins explicitly integrated into the window system and not the building itself. Integrating into the window system instead of attaching to the building was a tactic to save time and money. If the fins were attached to the building's exterior, many things such as waterproofing and installation would have impacted the work schedule. Below you can see a detail of exactly what the receptor had to be to accommodate the fins, as well as a photo of the finished product.

Ross Adler, President of Adler Windows, had this to say about the Coney Island project:

"There are many challenges when executing a project. These blue fins integral to the architect's design for this project proved to be one of the toughest. Projecting 8" from the face of building and with the requirement to be attached to the window system and not the building, these blue fins (5 different shades of blue in all) were custom designed to integrate into the window receptor system. After weeks of design, engineering and tweaking, we landed on a design that worked for the architect and just as important, could be executed without impact to TCO schedule."

Besides the custom frame, this project was tasked with fitting into a tough schedule during the pandemic. Meeting and sticking to deadlines is something we at Peerless value as integral to providing top-of-the-line service to our customers like Adler Windows. Superior product and excellent installation also lead to passing every water test that was performed on the project! When asked about the main reason Adler Windows would recommend Peerless to others after the Coney Island project Ross Adler said "Peerless approach to large project-based work is unparalleled."
